The EU-funded ARSINOE project is set to play a central role at the Water Projects Europe event,  taking place on May 15, 2025, from 9:00 to 13:30 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Warsaw. Held in conjunction with the Water Knowledge Europe Blue Deal Conference and under the High Patronage of the incoming EU Presidency of Poland, this event places ARSINOE and fellow flagship project NEXOGENESIS at the forefront of discussions on water policy innovation and climate resilience.

As Europe prepares its upcoming Water Resilience Strategy, Water Projects Europe 2025 offers a critical platform to demonstrate how cutting-edge research translates into actionable solutions. ARSINOE, known for its Systemic Innovation Approach (SIA) to climate change adaptation, will highlight how its context-specific, co-designed solutions are increasing regional resilience across nine European demonstration cases.

The event provides a unique forum where policy, science, and practice converge. ARSINOE will specifically showcase:

  • Keynote Address: Insights from ARSINOE’s Lydia Vamvakeridou-Lyroudia (KWR) on water resilience to climate change (09:00 – 09:35).

  • Dedicated ARSINOE Session (11:20 – 12:35): Featuring presentations on:

    • Climate Resilience Assessment frameworks (Nav Mustafee, University of Exeter).

    • Transboundary virtual watershed approaches (Nicos Theodossiou, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki).

    • Climate adaptation for coastal flooding (Albert Chen, University of Exeter).

    • Specific recommendations and findings from ARSINOE’s diverse Case Studies.

  • Joint Panel Session (12:35 – 13:20): ARSINOE experts will join NEXOGENESIS colleagues to discuss policy recommendations, bridging the research-implementation gap, and future exploitation of project outcomes.

Attendees will gain direct access to ARSINOE’s methodologies, adaptation strategies, and innovative models alongside insights from the NEXOGENESIS project, which focuses on AI-driven WEFE Nexus governance. This collaborative event fosters high-level dialogue aimed at moving research from projects to policy and from strategy to tangible impact. To register for WPE2025, please click here.
