A gateway to climate European impact

Europe faces a climate paradox: while over 53 million people in vulnerable areas suffer the impacts of heat waves, droughts, and floods, hundreds of innovators are developing solutions that could make a real difference. The problem is not a lack of innovation, but rather the disconnect between those who have the solutions and those who urgently need them.

To bridge this gap, BRIGAID Connect and ARSINOE organized the webinar “Showcasing Your Climate Innovation: A gateway to climate European impact,” a practical masterclass led by Inna Petrenko (Icatalist), a specialist in European climate adaptation projects, and Laia Palau (Off Course Studio), an expert in climate innovation branding.

Europe’s Climate Innovation Moment

Europe is not only recognizing the urgency of climate adaptation—it’s putting money on the table. The EU Climate Adaptation Strategy (2021) and the European Climate Law establish the regulatory framework, while programs like LIFE allocate €2.3 billion for ecological transition between 2025 and 2027. Of this amount, €600 million is specifically targeted at climate projects.

The economic figures speak for themselves: every euro invested in climate adaptation generates between €4 and €10 in benefits, according to the Global Commission on Adaptation. The webinar contextualizes these opportunities and answers the key question: how can your innovation capture attention in this European ecosystem?

Climate Innovation Window: Your European Showcase

The Climate Innovation Window (CIW) is a European catalog of validated climate adaptation solutions. It’s not a marketplace, but rather a space where end-users and prescribers discover innovations backed by EU-funded projects.

With over 180 innovations in its database, the CIW enables advanced searches by type of climate risk (floods, droughts, heat waves, wildfires), application area, solution type, and technological and social readiness levels (TRL/SRL). Its philosophy: “Simple, Accessible, Actiona
