The Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency (NECCA) organized a final national stakeholder event on June 12, 2025, in the framework of CS4 Ohrid/Prespa Lakes. The event took place at the Pyli Thematic Centre, located in the Greek part of Prespa watershed, which belongs to Natura 2000 Network.
The event was attended by representatives of the local government, public services, non-governmental organizations and the educational community of the Prespa region. Results of the Living Labs (both national and transboundary) as well as innovative tools developed within the framework of the project were presented concerning water management in the Prespa-Ohrid watershed towards climate change adaptation and resilience, as well as the implementation of the MINKA Citizen Observatory within the local school community. The previous day, a meeting was held at the school in Laimos Prespa to discuss the results of the implementation of MINKA.
The Prespa region is a protected area requiring co-management and close cross-border cooperation, as its protection is a common goal of all three countries sharing the lakes: Greece, North Macedonia and Albania.
