As part of the 9th ARSINOE Case Study, Isabelle La Jeunesse and Marco Dettori visited the Consorzio di Bonifica dell’Oristanese and the Azienda Agricola I Falchi to discuss food security and sustainable agriculture.
The ARSINOE vision was shared with local stakeholders, highlighting the project’s aim to decrease the import of durum wheat from overseas, reduce greenhouse gas emissions due to transport, and implement irrigation systems based on clean energy. The visit emphasized the importance of collaboration between researchers and local stakeholders in developing sustainable solutions that address the complex challenges facing the food and agriculture sector.
